THE IN BETWEEN
In the realm of life's intricacies, I have come to embrace "The In Between" - those elusive moments that hold profound meaning yet often slip away unnoticed. Growing up overseas, my passion for culture and adventure shaped my perspective. Despite the limitations of words, art became my language, my vessel of expression.
My photography teacher, who fell in love with my sister, became an incredible additional big brother and mentor. Without him, I wouldn't have the career or quality of images I have today. I cannot thank him enough for teaching me how to wield a camera.
My love story began in China at 14, my best friend and my confidant remained only my friend throughout high school. If anyone asks, he has always loved me deeply, and he had to fight for the right to have my heart. I fell for him slowly, and then all at once. It was our senior year and my life fell apart, yet he remained ever present and incredibly respectful of me as a woman. It wasn't until after we both returned to the states that we started dating long distance for two and a half years. He was my rock during the challenging transition stateside, teaching me the essence of selfless service and unconditional love as a God-fearing man. He became my hero, and I cherish him ever so deeply. Our own journey inspired me to learn about others' relationships, celebrating their triumphs amidst struggles. Love is no easy venture, but oh my darlings, it is well worth every ounce of heartache.
Life itself is a fleeting masterpiece, its beauty interwoven with fleeting moments that slip through our fingers. As an artist, I am privileged to capture and narrate stories through my artwork, with a profound emphasis on preserving those precious moments that are easily forgotten. Within the tapestry of time, I strive to reveal the essence of life's emotions and the significance of each passing moment.
In this pursuit, I find purpose and fulfillment, for "The In Between" holds the power to illuminate the extraordinary beauty hidden within the ordinary.
